Bringing community and smiles- one seed at a time.
Barefoot Flower Farm came to be after several years of consistent volunteering at multiple local parks and community gardens within the Charleston area. I saw the joy a simple seed could bring someone and how it can help bring a community together.
Our aim is to bring flowers to those who need- yes, I said need- them. Fresh flowers during a tough time can truly help lift spirits. We also are working hard to provide education on sustainable gardening, creating pollinator-friendly spaces and all things flowers through school programs and workshops.
We hope you’ll join us on this journey!
The mission
Today, we’re sharing flowers within our local community. We aim to deliver flowers to homes and to individuals who would benefit from receiving flowers. This may include hospitals, senior facilities, other charitable organziations, etc.
As we continue to gain interest, the flower farm expands and we can serve and educate even more people.
Our mission is two-part:
- To bring color and happiness to all, one bouquet at a time.
- To educate as many people as we can on the importance of sustainable growing practices, co-existing with our pollinator friends and how we all can make a difference.
The vision
As we embark on this small but mighty mission, we imagine a future that scales this concept in a meaningful way.
We envision growing to create a destination farm where you can have a hands-on experience learning about and enjoying the flowers. Bring your family to walk rows of blooming flowers, visit the hives, just learn and truly connect with nature- all in service to support an amazing cause.
